DOORS
First Impressions
Your doors are the first impression visitors get of your home. Taylor doors offered by DuHadway will let you set the impression you want. You can choose the classic 6-panel door. Add a small amount of glass with a 7"x18" opening or go 1/2, 3/4, or full glass. With hundreds of glass patterns to choose from you can find the style that you have in mind.
Colors
With 18 paint colors and 6 stains you can truly make a first impression. The outside color can be one color to draw attention to the front door while using a
second color on the inside to harmonize with your homes interior colors. Taylor also offers a finish that can be stained to look like wood. After hand rubbing the stain color and applying multiple coats of polyurethane, your door will give you the authentic look of a wood door while still offering magnetic weather-stripping. Fiberglass doors, because their surface is not attracted to magnets, give up this huge advantage. After all, the only thing that keeps the ice cubes frozen in your freezer is this same magnetic seal around the edge of the freezer door!
Advanced Features
But no matter what glass style you choose the underlying door is the same. Taylor has been manufacturing doors for over 30 years. They know how to make a durable and effective barrier to the elements.
Wooden doors do not perform like we expect modern doors to. They can warp, rot, split, and lack weather-stripping. Unfortunately most manufacturers of steel entry doors really only use steel as a covering over a wood framework. These steel doors can still have all the problems found in wooden doors - twisting, warping, and rotting. Taylor has eliminated all the wood except the area around the locks. No wood edges or bottoms to rot or twist.
Taylor offers adjustable hinges. These hinges allow the door to be adjusted up, down, in, or out to get and keep a tight fitting door. There is also a metal jamb reinforcing plate. It is located on the jamb so the deadbolt slides through it. By reinforcing the side jamb area around the locks, it becomes very difficult to kick the door in during a break in.
Magnetic weather-stripping makes a tight seal against winters cold winds and summers heat. Remember fiberglass and wood doors are not attracted to magnets. The same magnetic seal that is used on your refrigerator and freezer is used on Taylor entry doors. This is missing on fiberglass and wooden doors.
Miniblinds
With miniblinds available in _ glass and full view doors, you can have light and privacy at the same time. Miniblinds controlled by a magnetic strip change the angle of the blinds while still offering a true insulated glass panel. Not a glass panel with a hole drilled for the blind gear mechanism. This hole also lets air and moisture enter. No need to have curtains. By changing the angle of the blinds, you can have a clear view or obstruct the view of others. Many families have used these doors in kitchens, patio doors, and garage doors.
