Casement Windows
When to Use a Casement Window
Casement windows are often used in Prairie, Tudor, French, Ranch, and Contemporary designs. As a rule casement windows are taller than they are wide. Although 2, 3, or 4 individual units can be combined to form a total opening that is wider than it is tall. Casement windows offer unobstructed views top to bottom. Ventilation Casement windows open with a gear that pushes one side of the glass panel out as the other side pivots and moves toward the center of the window much like opening a door. These windows can be directed to angle breezes into your home. Placement Casement windows positioned over a kitchen sink are easier to open using the gear than lifting double hung windows. Casements create window walls that are both beautiful and functional. Super Spacer makes your glass warmer.
